Beauty | Men Wearing Make-up?

.

It's common knowledge that male actors and celebrities apply make-up to look their best on camera and for the press, but should it be alright for everyday run-of-the-mill men to do it too? Men are just as concerned with their appearance as females, and make-up would definitely help conceal confidence-leaching skin problems, such as pimples, acne, or razor burn. Despite these benefits, many men and women still think it  would be really weird if their man started swiping their make-up.

I recently visited the Cosmopolitan.com website and came across this same question. I believe that this decision can go either way; in this day and age, anything seems to be possible. Although the pressure for men to seem 'manly' is especially high as well.

Personally, I think it would be perfectly okay for a man to wear make-up such as a tinted moisturizer or concealer and still be masculine. I think that it's time that we drop the double-standard regarding this issue and let our men indulge in the same self-esteem that comes from appearing completely flawless. However, I do not agree as much with the idea of men wearing lip, eye, or cheek products- this is when men would start to become less masculine in my opinion.
